I have a Standard Bank Corporate Credit Card. I'm trying to generate my card PIN number but I have to enter the 13-digit RSA ID number. Unfortunately I'm not South African; I only work in South Africa at our regional office. I'm not given the option of entering my passport number, which is what I used to obtain the Corporate Card. As I write this I am in Ethiopia and need to pay for hotel bills - but cannot because I dont have the PIN (the first time I have needed the PIN out of RSA), and I cannot generate the pin using the IVR facility because it requires me to provide the 13 digit RSA ID number which unfortunately I dont have.
Considering the diversity of South Africa, arguably the country with the most expats in Africa, surely you can allow for passport identification in addition to the 13 - digit RSA ID number.
