Standard Bank customers,
Please be super careful when contacting Standard Bank via their call center or other numbers.
I phoned them yesterday wanting to make an inquiry on my statements and chose the option for 'inquiries on Cheque and savings cards'
Then the voice prompt tells me this (in the same completely convincing ladies voice that you usually get)
"To better identify you as a standard Bank customer, please dial your card number, followed by your 5 digit ATM pin code or 3 digit CVV number" To which I respond with hanging up pretty quickly.
I informed Standard Bank's division about this, but Just want to put this out here as well... Please be careful! Never reveal your pin (s) to anyone, including your bank.
