My case is similar to Pietersmith's. A M&F policyholder entered a 4 way intersection prematurely and crashed into my wife's car. Only difference is, 18 months later, the MFs are suing me for cost of repairs to their policyholder's car. Only evidence of my culpability they can cite to me is that the car is registered in my name. The jokers, right up to the CEO himself, contend that the other evidence is in their files but they can't share it with me. There are company procedures to be followed you see, and the whole industry does likewise, is this CEO's cop-out. It is rather interesting that they shy away from the police report.
