My wife has an existing life policy with Absa, we required to update the policy. When we contacted the call centre, they took long to answer there phones. Spoke to Busisiwe (08/10/13), Toby and Simphiewe on the 10/10/13, due to lack of assistance. i went to my local branch in Overport city (Atruim mall) on the. I dealt with a Phumla, who then sent an email to Absa life. There was no response from them, i contacted the complaints department ref# 2562782, i was contacted by margaret after 72hrs. It has been over 2 weeks that margaret has been saying that they are in process of assisting. Everyday is a new excuse from them and i have done all the requirements they asked for. This has become a very tedious process for a life policy which i could taken from another financial company in 3 working days. We have been with Absa for a long duration and we are dissatisfied with the disregard of our policy and the time they have made us put in for a simple policy upgrade. I have lost respect for Absa, it seems that they don't want our business.
