I have been banking with Nedbank for 24 years. I have a homeloan (investment property), a credit card and current account, as well as multiple investments accounts. I put in an offer on a property and was advised by Nedbank Relationship banker not to apply via bond originators to Nedbank as it would be much quicker if I used relationship bankers - 48 hours she said. I applied to the other banks with a bond originator and got affirmative replies within 48 hours of the OTP being submitted. I wanted to do the deal with Nedbank to keep my portfolio streamlined. Nedbank kept promising me a great rate etc, could I please delay. After not 1 but 2 attorney promulgated delays, I still did not get as much as a RESPONSE from Nedbank. It goes without saying, that after the elapsed time, I signed a deal with another bank. Would you believe - I STILL, A MONTH LATER, HAVE NOT HAD THE COURTESY OF A RESPONSE FROM NEDBANK! Clearly, Nedbank dont think much of my business, as such, I will be closing all of the accounts I have with Nedbank, as well as the existing bond. Not that I expect much of a response from this forum either. Lesson learned: Nedbank couldnt care. Goodbye Nedbank.
