I have a homeloan with Nedbank and wanted to change my zoning from residential 1 to residential 1 with educational purposes.
They refused my application on the grounds that if i dont move my current account to Nedbank they will not make this change! How ridiculous. I have now contacted another bank and they do not have such restrictions.
I now will have to move my bond to another bank just because of this issue.
Beware if you are a Nedbank bondholder and if you need to ever make any rezoning changes Nedbank will restrict you.
I cannot move my current account to Nedbank owing to past unethical practices which the ombudsman ruled a few years ago. Nedbank deducted homeloan payments early without notifying their clients. Further, they changed the admin fees without notice.
