As a first time home buyer, I recently made a bond application with Nedbank Sandton. The bond was finally granted thirty (30) days after application! ONE MONTH!! SA Home Loans, Standard Bank and ABSA bank all came back to us within five (5) days after submission. Nedbank gave me such a poor rate that I asked that it be re-evaluated. After another week of constantly following up, Nedbank FINALLY came back with a better rate, less .2%, but it was still a full percent higher than SA Home Loans, Standard Bank and ABSA bank!! I have been banking with Nedbank for sixteen (16) years now, I have never defaulted on a payment or debit order, I have an Investment account, Credit card and my car is financed with Nedbank, and I was still given the worst rate compared with all the other banks!! Obviously years and years of loyalty mean nothing to Nedbank! As a result I will be moving all of my accounts from Nedbank to another bank, as they obviously don't need my business! Thanks Nedbank... Thanks for MAKING THINGS NOT HAPPEN!!
