Lets see if Capitec Bank give a dam about this concern.
Let me first say that the staff were very patient and very helpful, even though the concern raised from this issue was not settled.
Saturday 28 Sept 2013, I visited the Gallo Manor branch, Sandton to query why the latest cell phone app was not working.
I downloaded on the advice of the bank the latest Capitec App for the token password to sign into my bank account.
Previously the App would require a password (one of my own) to generate a new alpha_numeric pass to proceed into my account details.
Steps are
Account name
Account password
Token pass
This would allow access to my account.
To my disdain this Capitec App does not allow a specific password to generate a alpha_numeric pass to complete the access.
Anyone can download this app and enter any type of key. E.G 1111111 will generate alpha_numeric pass, as will???
Lastly the manager and the assistant tried to allay my concerns that this token pass generator is not necessary to access accounts.
So Capitec, I shall not deposit any further sums into this account as my money is not REALLY secure.
Perhaps you can tell me why this app will accept any input.
