Credit card activation

Applied for a credit card via call centre

Receive instructions to collect card at closest FNB branch (Secunda) and bring ID and proof of residence

This was done on the 20th of September 2013; copy of I'd was given; and proof of residence. Card was activated in the branch; and pin code was chosen.

Later tried to register for online banking;

Website does not allow me to register as my chosen pin is 6 digits; and they only allow for a pin of 5 digets on the website. Call help centre for assistance; they say I have to reset my pin; or activate in a branch! In the branch they said I can do it at Home!!!

Very inconvenient!

Also; I receive an email stating the card will be deactivated unless I fax or email a cerified copy of my ID and proof of residence! But I already did that at the branch!

So I phone the helpline once more; and explain the situation; the person on the other end doesn't even reply for 30 seconds; until I ask if he is still there; then he puts me through to an automated service machine with. no useful options; where they then ask me to hold for the next available consultant

I have been on hold for nearly 10 minutes without any assistance!!
