Ultimatums from FNB! For what?

Hi

I have just received an SMS stating the following:

"FNB? A Copy of your ID and proof of residence is required by 15 July 2013 or your accounts will be blocked. Visit a FNB branch to update. FNB a Div of FRB LTD"

What is this for? And why is it required? I do not have the time to pop in a branch! All your advertising says you don't have to go to a branch and then I get a silly sms from you where the punctuation and grammar isn't even correct demanding me to go to a branch before the 15th? All I have is a credit card.

I prefer Email and not phone calls. I am in meetings during the day
