TEMP CARD NOT CANCELLED ON ISSUE CHQ CARD

I opened an account with FNB, at which stage I received a temporary card. A couple days later I was notified to collect my gold cheque card. I assumed to "temporary card" was cancelled on issue of the new card, and this threw the old card away.
A couple days later there were withdrawals on the old card totalling R3500, for which I have been held liable but know I did not make.
