My name is Zandile Ncube and I have been banking with Capitec Bank for 5 years, I have been a loyal customer and have paid back all my loans that thsi bank has given me. I am very unhappy and about to lay a case of on this date of September 2013 as I normally get paid of the 25th of each month, however since the month of august the 25th fell on a Sunday, I received my salary on the night of the 23rd of August, My salary was 7500, On the morning of the 24th I went to purchase a phone and a tv stand, and received receipts from these stores as I had money. I went into the Bayside Capitec branch on the 30th to close my account and was told I couldnt close the Savings account number9580 as i was in arrears of r600, their reason is that they said they were offline the date i made purchases on the 24th hence their system allowed me to buy goods when i had no money. but I had my salary money that i was using, If i had no money on that date why did my purchases go through? this is not an overdraft facility? The surprising thing is that I have receipts as proof my purchases i made, and capitec bank statement shows that I MADE PURCHASES ON THE 28TH OF AUGUST, WHICH IN INCORRECT
