More Excuses than services

I had upgraded my account to private banking (PB) as I believed I would benefit from having a single contact within the bank.

I had been assisted with alternative insurance policies almost immediately and am still very happy with these products and services.

Earlier this year I decided to consolidate my debt and asked PB how I could do this.

Months later I was quoted on a replacement bond with PB including excessive fees, I was then passed on to FNB Home loans and not assisted by PB unless I instructed them to intervene.

I was eventually told that I had an existing facility giving me instant access to funds which would allow me to settle all my short terms debts including my vehicles.

I had asked my private banker directly how I can access these funds and since he didn't assist I contacted Amy Zerff and Gavin Tarr who abdicated responsibility saying that my PB is not responsible for services from other areas and they would not advise taking money from my bond. Advice which was completely unfounded given the lack of context and/or financial implications I bore.

At R315p.m. I see no benefit to Private Banking and believe my concerns were dismissed and not resolved.
