Standard Bank
Bond Substitution in Estate taking Months

I need to have a bond and title deed substitution done due to the fact that my wife passed away and we were married in community of property. I have been trying since October 2013 to get this process completed between the Standard Bank Pretoria Home Loans Office and my Private Banker Debby Mc Coll, with very little success. Initially I was asked to sign a letter of acknowledgement, then Debby indicated that the Pretoria assessors denied asking for one, then Pretoria Home Loans closed the application for a new bond (which I am told is the best way to deal with a substitution), although I already have a bond and is servicing the debt on it. Then I am told that the letter of awareness is required, which I provided on 3 January. I have now been waiting for 3 working days to learn which attorneys the bank is going to use in this matter because Pretoria Home Loans have changed the firm and it takes a few days to change this. I asked for the matter to be escalated, but no urgency or action is forthcoming - The service is shocking!!!
