How to open an internet merchant account in South Africa. All this happened at Tygervalley, Cape Town.

1. Go to FNB to add the merchant part to my business account - "Sorry, we closed the account because it was inactive, and never told you. Come back with ID and proof of address."
2. Go back to FNB. - "Oh sorry, the proof of address must be younger than 3 months old. Come back with your ID and proof of address that is less than 3 months old."
3. Go to Standard Bank - South Africa right next door - "We have never heard of this, and will get back to you". Still waiting.
4. Go to Absa - "It is impossible to do". (really???). They phone Absa Business Bank; I am told they do it, and I go to business bank branch. Secretary: "we don't do that here". Getting pushy now: "yes you do". Speak to someone who phone someone. I am cc'ed in an email so that the other person has my address to send me stuff. I reply to them, the email address doesn't exist.
5. Wondering where the closest Nedbank is, but they are expensive apparently.
6. Like all four banks on Facebook. and posting this on their wall.
6. Praying that someone will read this and be able to operate in the 2013 mindspace
