My account with money was closed without notice

My ABSA account was closed without any prior notice. I went to the atm to withdraw money and I was unable to do so. I then went to the ORT Airport branch and I was told that the reason my account was closed was because I hadn't updated my current residential address information. Really? Without informing me?? I was then told to come with proof of address and proof identification. A few days later I came with my drivers licence and my proof of address and I was turned back yet again because I didn't have my green barcoded ID. I was so upset by the unwillingness of the staff to help me but none the less I returned yesterday with my green barcoded ID. I was then told that they could not assist me because my proof of address is written A.K Ranyane and my ID has my K name first and then my A name (K.A Ranyane). The consultant went on further to say what if my proof of address wasn't really mine. Even if this is ABSA's policy regarding proof of address, why was my account closed without prior notice to me in the first place?? This has been such an inconvenience because my money is in that account!!!
