GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT

My daughter had R1000 taken out of her account @ 1.30am. She was sent an sms & called the number to say it was. She went to the Tokai branch of FNB first thing in the morning to prove she had her card on her. She was told that she would only be repaid the R1000 after a dispute had been lodged & she had been cleared of taking the money herself, which would take 6-8wks. She said she was a student with no income & needed the R1000 to live on. The bank employee said she could not help. In the UK Banks are insured against acts like this & the customer is immediately repaid any monies taken out of their account. UK Banks believe in their customers unlike FNB who make their customers prove that they are innocent.
