Card left me in debt and ABSA doesn't care!

I have been an ABSA client for 8 years and I have always been very happy with their service and they were more than willing to help me with loans, credit cards, etc... as long as they could make money out of it. But when I counted on them, they just bailed on me. The ABSA Atm outside the ABSA branch in Cantonements Street, Centurion swallowed my card. I immediately phoned to stop my card, but they kept me on hold so long that my card was not stopped on time and while I was on the line with them an sms notification came through saying that R 2, 000 was withdrawn from my account. My stop card reference number was 00523009052013. I went to ABSA at Southdowns Mall in Centurion the very next day to report this. Firstly, I never got any feedback, I kept on sending my husband to follow up as he is working at Southdowns Mall, but they kept on telling him "it is still under investigation". After 2 months when he went to follow up again, they said that we're not getting the money back, because my pin was used to withdraw the money. So is it my fault then that ABSA's bank cards is so unsecure that someone could decrypt my pin? And is if my fault that ABSA's ATM swallowed my card? :(
