On Thursday 01 Aug @ 07h35, my mother deposited R700 at the Tygervalley Branch ATM. I received an sms and my mother got the slip confirming the deposit. She left the atm and a minute later I received another sms stating "Correction -R700". I logged a query with the call centre and I was told that we have to provide proof of the deposit in order to launch an investigation because the ATM would've rejected the money immediately if something was wrong. The proof was given just after 9am. Visited Cleary Park and Tygervalley branch in the afternoon but no success. I followed up again on Friday after 11am and was told they are still awaiting feedback. When I asked them what they have done in the last 24hrs, they could not inform me of any processes followed. Instead I was asked again what time the deposit was made. This after we have submitted proof of deposit with timestamp. I followed up again today 06 August and everybody is still awaiting feedback, but nobody can tell me from where. I feel there is no urgency and I understand there are procedures to follow but I also know the bank confirmed receipt of my money. Why should I be inconvenienced for 30 days?
