Poor Delivery and response from Standard Bank Home

I applied for a new Home Loan with Standard Bank about 2 weeks ago. On 29th of July the application was marked "Do not Proceed" due to them being unable to confirm my spouse's employment. Standard bank did not inform me of this, I had to phone to check the status to find this out. I then spoke to a few consultants, only took down the names of Primrose Podile and Lauren Adams and was asked to send through a letter confirming employment. They confirmed that this has been received (Thursday 1 Aug 2013) and said they have escalated to get this application reinstated. I have even noted to them that I have been receiving quote from other banks and require their quote urgently to make an informed decision. I called to check the status today and it is still on "Do not Proceed". It hasn't even gone to credit as yet. This is unacceptable and plain down horrible service. This may leave me no option but to exclude Standard Bank when deciding which bank to take up the Home Loan with.
