HOME LOAN APPLICATION IGNORED

I have been a loyal Standard bank customer for over 6 years, and have run my accounts well. When it came time to ask for a home loan, I decided to go directly to my bank and not to a mortgage broker, as I wanted to stay with my bank and assumed this way I would get the best service and interest rate.

Myself and my partner went in to Standard Bank La Lucia with our home loan application, and were helped by a lovely gentleman, I did not get his name as he advised me that he was leaving the banks employ that day, and moving to Liberty Life, so he should be easily to locate. He helped us through and collected our documents efficiently, but advised that he could not complete the application process as he was leaving, and would give our information to someone else who would be in touch on Monday.

To this day I have heard nothing regarding my application, and I am unable to contact the La Lucia branch as everything goes through the call centre. I am aware that nothing has progressed on my application as no one has bothered to phone my employer to confirm my employment, or spoken to me.

I await a reply, should Standard Bank not require my business I will happily take it elsewhere.
