I went to the bank on Friday 1 August 2013 to change my cellphone number (I got a new phone). After trying for a while I was told by the lady at information desk that the system cannot accept 061 cellphone numbers. ABSA is aware of the problem, but they have not done anything about it. It is not acceptable - I now cannot do internet banking and one day when ABSA fixes the problem, I will AGAIN have to go to the bank and stand in a line to change my cell number.
