I phoned on the 14th of June requesting a settlement amount as I want to close my account. I got the settlement, Paid it sent the proof of payment and a letter requesting the closure of my account, was told that it will only be done on the 12th of July, Then Yesterday I got a statement showing that I owe R1.50 so I phoned and was told now the account will only be closed on the 12th of August. Firstly, the settlement amount I paid was actually more than the outstanding amount, so I was charged interest on a credit balance after I paid the account in full. I will not wait two months to have an account closed, this is pathetic business ethics, this will be sorted out today. I will not wait until the 12 of August, Plus I want a refund of the credit.
