First National Bank
And Identity

I lost my ID book in November 2012. I reported it and had a new one issued at the end of the same month. I was advised that the old one was now invalid and that anyone trying to use it would be arrested. In June 2013, I started receiving text messages from FNB about an account I opened and advised to collect my cards. I informed FNB that I do not have an account with them and that they should check for. Nothing happened. Since then, I have been receiving messages from FNB on deposits and withdrawals on the same account despite my warnings.

On 2 August, 2013, I now receive a call from FNB wanting to talk to me about "my account". I honestly cannot believe these people. To add insult to injury, the caller was demanding that I go to FNB in Johannesburg central and identify myself in order to clear the matter. I would have expected THEM to ASK to VISIT me instead!

I hope whoever reads this from FNB has the fortitude to admit that they have been and fix this before it becomes messy.
