My Standard Bank Student Achiever Account was handed over to Stanley Brodkin Maditsi attorneys after missing a payment. I've been paying this loan for 30 months and the current debit order amount as per agreement with Standard Bank is 1010. I was contacted on various occasions whereby Odette (person in charge of my loan) rudely inquired why I missed my payment to which I responded that I didn/t finish my studies after having an accident and being a commissioned worker whereby she responded that "It wasn't good enough" After saying that I always do my best to pay as much as i can-sometimes even more eg. 1500-I began to receive SMSes in which I was told to pay 1500 ("As per agreement" of which there was NONE) by month end to avoid legal action: To be paid into an account number that did not correlate with that of my Std Bank account and NO PRIOR NOTIFICATION WHATSOEVER OF ACCOUNT DETAIL CHANGES OR DEBIT ORDER AUTHORISATION) Month end I paid the 1500 amount requested into my Std Bank acc after which I received SMS after SMS telling me to pay the 390 difference immediately. NOT agreed upon. Then a Sheriff's Warrant of Execution SMS. I contacted the firm and was treated very rudely
