I have been handed over by Standard Bank to Stanley Brodkin 10 months ago. I have made an arrangement of payment with them and have sticked to paying the amounts every month. I just called them this morning requesting for a Statement so that I can see if I cannot settle the amount this month or even pay half of what I owe. The consultant Mr Langa as well as their manager on duty started shouting at me and telling me that I do not have previleges like that anymore and that they are not obliged to giving me any statements. I do not understand what is the problem wuth regard to just issuing a statement to a Debtor. I understand that I am just a debtor and am sure to their eyes am very inferior but I belive respect towards one another should be granted still no matter what position they are in or how perfect they are in their living styles. At the moment I ama payign every month but do not know how much am I still owing. Please suggest how to handle this.
