Inefficient service and no accountability

After being notified by AF that my tax directive was declined 28 June for a provident payout, I contacted SARS only to be advised that AF never lodge an application for me. The last application ever lodged for me was in 2009. This info was fed back to them and I was assured that another one would be lodged that same day (1July). come 5 July and numerous phone calls from me, nothing was lodged. I then got notification on 8 July that the directive came back and payment will be made within 7 - 14 working days. 26 July - I call AF to confirm payment and I'm told that no payment has been queued for me but they'll log a query to the admin department but I'll only get an answer in 3 working days. I asked for an escalation but was told anybody I speak with could do nothing about this whatsoever. My experience with AF has been nothing but unpleasant, frustrating and disappointing. The general feel is that there's no escalation point and there's just no recourse or accountability for poor service delivery. I have absolutely no faith that I'll see my provident payout any time soon and will NEVER have my money invested with them again!
