STANDARD BANK has the WORST customer servivce

In 2012 my bank account was frozen without any notification. On this fateful day i had no money to go home and as i headed to the atm to withdraw i found out my account had been frozen. I had to beg for money from strangers to get home. i then went went to the nearest branch during work hours to get the matter resolved. i was told my FICA documents were missing. I wondered to myself how is this possible because to open an account u use your proof of residence. Anyway I accepted this and i was told to get proof of residence.

I proceeded to do so. Went to my landlord asked for my lease agreement and then went to the police station to get an affidavit confirming that i indeed LIVE where i was saying. I headed to the bank, the next day. only to be told that they do not accept anything from the police station. this is sandton standard bank by the way. they tell me i should have taken a form and filled it in. the affidavit is null and void. I wondered to myself... could i not have been given this form the day before... or given better advice on how to obtain this proof of res. so then i take the form so my land lord can fill it in.
