FNB of "NO HELP" _ such false advertising?

On Tues 10 Oct, I went to the dentist adn when I had to pay for my service, my card was declined. II tried the other ones and they were also declined. I thought the issue was with their machine, so I left with a promise to come back and pay. Then, the next morning I went to the garage to fill up my car. When the attendant was done I handed him my debit card, which the machine declined. I then handed over the other one, which was also declined. I then call my bank FBN to find out what is happening. I am told my account is frozen due to an outstanding proof of address. How on earth can an account that is eight years old and have been active since suddenly be frozen when nothing has changed in my details? How about a courtesy call from FNB to inform me of this before I find myself embarrassed and stranded in a garage because I can't pay even though there is money in my account while being late for a meeting at work and missing deadlines of things I needed to submit that morning? FNB has failed consistently to resolve this issue even after numerous calls to them and even writing on RB Jacobs Twitter page (@Rbjacobs). Even this morning I called them and still no solution to my problem.
