Absa
Attitude with pregnant custome

Yesterday my husband and I went to withdraw money from a savings account we have through Absa.
The lady at the door assured us that we could skip to the front of the queue as I am 8 months pregnant.
I sat at the designated spot I was told to sit and once the teller at teller no.1 was finished with his customer, I went to hand in our paperwork - as we were told. This teller, Khaya, refused to serve me, saying he is only helping who stand in the queue. I explained that we were simply following what the lady at the door told us to do, yet he still refused to assist me. He then asked another teller to call the manager. Eventually the manager made his appearance - not once did he look at me or even address me, he simply waved his hand and said something to Khaya in another language. This all took about 10 minutes to resolve and eventually we were helped.
I am appalled that two people in this branch can have such lack of consideration for their pregnant customers and that they made me feel as though I was committing the ultimate sin.
I will be looking into transferring our home loan to another bank due to this lack of respect.
