Help at ABSA Bank

My c/card expired and I didn't fetch my new card from the branch last year. This morning, I tried to go to Cape Gate Branch to transfer money from my Credit Card acc to my husband's account and the Teller advised me that I was unable to do so without a card. This, after I was standing in the queue for 45 minutes and actually asked the hostess at the door whether my request will be possible. The teller then advised me to go to the enquiries desk, where I decided after another 50 minutes that it is not worth my while to continue waiting, because there was still about 18 people in front of me and the average helping time at the front was 20 minutes per customer, with 3 consultants available - You do the math at how long I would have still waited... I also tried to call their call centre twice without success, as I held on for 10 min and then 6 min - Both times the call was disconnected. I have now sent ABSA Bank an email to the card service department to request assistance and I wonder whether they will respond. Is there such a thing as fast and convenient banking at ABSA?
