Missing money

On 2 APRIL 2013, my Mom who is 77 years old needed to trf money from her Standard Bank Menlyn account into my Absa credit card acc. Not knowing how to do this, she asked the cashier (a trainee with a supervisor standing behind her). Clearly, neither of them knew how to do a transaction of this nature, as they deposited the money in a Absa "bucket" account and the money has simply gone missing.

My Mother went into the Menlyn branch to try sort the matter out and a few weeks later, we were still waiting for the money to appear. Since my Mom has taken very ill in the last few months and is unable to go physically into the bank herself, I have gone in myself - 4 TIMES (total time spent in the bank is approx. 4 hours) trying to sort this matter out. The personal banker who has helped my Mom and me is an absolute GEM, but he himself has been given the run around by his own colleagues and has been unable to have the money either reversed, back into my Mom's account, or finally found in the so called Absa bucket account and paid into my credit card account.

4 mths later - what more do I need to do in order to have this matter sorted - do I go to the Bank Ombidsman? I really don't know!
