In December 2012 we bought a new vehicle. Cancelling the one vehicle (sold) and insuring the new vehicle 2 weeks later. In January we were incorrectly billed / over charged. Reason for this "system not updated as yet". 5 months into our insurance contract our premium increased by 45%. As per Discovery "There are a lot of factors affecting premiums at anniversary and in this case resulted in a steep increase in the premium.". With no claims lodged how can such an increase be justified? Discovery Insure has now offered to increase our premium by 25% i.s.o 45%. Still this is an exceptionally high increase which is unjustified. We are very disappointed in the way this was handled. We have been loyal to Discovery, from health insurance to credit card to vitality members to insurance however we feel that our loyalty to Discovery is not appreciated. Just another number.
