Very recently we put in a motor vehicle claim (758116). The incident was not our fault (rear-ended) and Discovery informed us that the claim would be recouped from the guilty party's insurer and that we would probably get our excess back as well (an expectation that was repeatedly met by Sanlam over many years of blissful service).
Immediately following the claim we got a call that because of our claims history our premiums would be increased by 34%. A bit odd and unfair but not really something I can rant about in this forum. However, I asked the consultant to provide details on how they justified this increase. We agreed to speak telephonically later the same day.
Clearly I never got the call, only an email informing me of the increase. Several emails later and still noone has responded further to the conversation let alone the full processing of the claim.
