Absa
Incorrect warnings

On 18.06.2013 Absa Collections phoned me about my personal loan account that was not paid. I confirmed to the lady that the payment was supposed to be collected from debit order which was confirmed in May 2013 by Branch Kroonstad. The debit order did not go off. When I logged onto Internet Banking I was about to make a payment to the Personal loan account, where upon I received an sms confirming SOMEONE made a counter transfer which costed me an EXTRA fee of R30.00. I phoned Absa Branch Kroonstad to confirm WHAT is going on. The person would get back to me. In the afternoon I received an sms again saying I should phone Absa Collections. On 19.06.2013 I phoned Absa Collections and spoken to Vanessa where upon she informed me the account is in arrears and this will affect my credit ability and will reflect on the credit bureau. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE IF I HAD CONFIRMATION THAT ALL IS CORRECT FOR PAYMENT COLLECTIONS. I think Absa should review this matter with immediate importance and in writing appologise for THEIR mistake. SERIOUSLY... R30.00 TRANSACTION CHARGE FEE??? They should refund a whole year's transaction fees!!!
