I have been in a unfortunate motor bike accident that wasn't my fault on the 26h May 2013. I phoned discovery with the event and was advised that they do not handle the claim and they will supply me with a no-claim letter, and this I had to take to the 3rd party insurance. After numerous call i have been persuaded that this would be in my best interest to claim from the 3rd party. 2 weeks in, I find out that 3rd party claims will not pay out the full amount and 30% of the assist is deducted at selvage cost, and 50% of the remaining amount it paid out.
With this info I went back to discovery insure, and the said that i need to reject the claim from the 3rd party and claim from my insurance. My situation has not been ideal and i have been ill advised from the get go. I am fully comprehensively insured with discovery, and they gave me the run around. today i phoned to find that nothing has been done on my claim and I need to forgive her for the delays, this is whilst my bike is standing in a yard incurring costs, that is out of my control.
I asked to speed to a manager i get transferred around and feel that the my claim isn't taken seriously and i might end up paying for it!
