I have been with Discovery Insure now for /-2 years - on the 23rd of December 2014 I submitted my 1st accident related claim. I have had nothing but dreadful service from discovery! Every step of the way, I have had to contact them to find out what was happening with my claim. Tiyiselani 'Eugenia' Chauke, the claims person assigned to my case, was of absolutely no use. When she did contact me telephonically (once) I couldn't understand anything she was saying... And from there, it just went down hill. The damage to my car was assessed, by a 3rd party who Discovery instructed me to deal with; but this was done incorrectly. I had to query the assessment, with a Discovery claims team-leader (Suleiman Rasdien), and he eventually approved the repairs I queried.
I finally felt like I was getting somewhere with the claims process, only to be informed by my panel-beater, on the 15th of January 2014, that Discovery was yet to approve ANY REPAIRS! After contacting them again, this was done - only to hear that Discovery would ONLY cover 1/3 of costs of the repairs! But nobody at Discovery seems to be too bothered about this - AFTERALL its not their money they have been wasting for 2 yea
