Standard Bank
Slowest delivery ever experienced

On 17 April 2013, I applied for a Pension-Backed loan from Standard Bank. They informed me that there were outstanding documents. I forwarded them the following day. 23 April Milly Becket asked me to send proof of residential address and I duly obliged. On 3 May 2013, a Standard Bank consultant came to my office with a contract and I signed it after which he told me that I would have the money within 10 working days. Thereafter, the circus began. From 20 May until today I have been swinging from pillar to post and there was no correspondence from them and I am the one who was calling all the time. Apparently, the forms had to be approved by my employer first, then the Pension Fund administrator. A month and a half down the line, they tell me there was a missing affidavit and I filled it and sent it back the same day.

Without even bothering to inform me they just sat and did nothing. I was calling everyday speaking to some Noma Nhlapo who has more attitude than Mario Balotelli and in the meantime, the work that I had started in my house had to be left midway, material prices increased and builders are threatening to break down everything. I'm in a mess thanks to Standard Bank!
