I've applied for a switch in order to get extra funds out of my current Home Loan which I've waited 3 weeks for feedback as they kept on saying documents were outstanding. Once all documents were finally found we were then told that some of the pay slips were not legible which took us another week to sort out. Once everything was sorted the consultant (which I do not want to mention) calls us to say that our application was approved however Standard Bank is currently over exposed in our complex where our house is situated and therefore it has to be declined. I find this mind boggling that this is now my problem and cannot be given bond due to this reason and would really like someone senior to contact me to explain this policy which I've never heard of before and find it disgusting that a bank with this status would not help.
