It appears that it is ABSA policy to delay payment to recipients of EFT transfers for up to three days. To my knowledge EFTs are transferred out of the payee account immediately. Absa retain the cash from their cutsomer's account somewhere where they obviously make money out of it over the three day delay period.
Just another greedy bank? I will certainly not ever bank with them
