Disgusting service delivery

I had opened up a FNB account in December 2012 and was placed on the platinum cheque account as i was a new graduate. As part of the benefits of this account, a smartphone could be ordered. i had ordered a smartphone in January 2013 through my online banking and had received an sms to say that my application was being processed. i had not received any correspondence in 2 weeks so had decided to call the smartphone division and query. upon querying i had been notified that my smartphone application had been rejected as my account was not 3 months old and i was asked to reapply after 3 months. However i do know of someone who had gotten their smartphone two months after opening the account. i had gone to the Liberty Midlands Mall FNB branch 3 months later to reapply and was told that i have to wait for 6 months to apply. i had called the sales division on the 07 May 2013 to order a smartphone and was then told that i needed an overdraft and had to step down my account to a gold cheq account to qualify. i am utterly disgusted by the pathetic service standards and the lack of information provided by FNB on their criteria for smartphones. as well as the lack of uniform decisions.
