BA Incompetence @ my expense

So frustrating.

I booked a flight last night (04/12/2013) from PE to JHB, the first attempt failed with a technical error, and on second attempt I successfully booked the flight.

Later I got SMSes from my bank with 2 BA transactions for the same amount

2013-12-04 Description. BRITISH AIRWAYS JOHANNESBURG 000ZA 042242 Amount (R). 3, 197.00
2013-12-04 Description. BRITISH AIRWAYS JOHANNESBURG 000ZA 042028 Amount (R). 3, 197.00

When I called them this morning to get them to reverse, they confirmed that they can only see 1 flight, not two. Of course that means the first transaction was billed but the system does not show it.

I was informed that I should call my bank to reverse (of course they wont reverse it, it's two different transactions to them. see the different transaction ref numbers: 042242, 042028). I called BA again, and they informed me that I have to wait 7 days for the transaction to reverse, 7 days. Now maybe BA customers are rich, hence R3000 is nothing to them but some of us cant wait that long. I need my money... why should I wait 7 days for my money?

This is truly pathetic...

Thanx for wasting my day and spoiling my holiday.
