On Thursday 14 November (between 15:30 and 16:20) I had the displeasure of witnessing the worst possible customer service by the staff at the Ticket Sales counter at OR Tambo.
Only two individuals were at the front desk, whilst a few more were visible in a back office. At least 8 people were waiting while a further 2 were being serviced for at least 20 minutes. At 16:00 the one assistant got up and announced that she was "closed" (I thought this only happened in bad jokes about the Post Office). The next person in line complained about this attitude and from there on it all went backwards. The assistant ignored the waiting customer, when the supervisor arrived she was not interested in finding out what the problem was & the manager immediately took to reprimand the customer who dared to complain. No attempt to establish the problem, let alone address it. Disgusting!
"To fly, to serve" clearly has no place on the ground for BA.
