When my wife recently visited Kimberley, she had to use SA Express as no other airline flies there.

When we booked in her luggage, the young lady who "served' us couldn't even manage a smile or a courteous greeting. She then changed the seat which I had pre booked without a word. When I later questioned her, she said, because it is an emergency exit and my wife is elderly, "they would have changed it anyway".

Often it is not what one says but HOW it is said that matters. This young lady could have shown more tact. But, then, she probably doesn't have any. No wonder SAA is floundering. No wonder, travellers like me avoid using SAA, whether for local or international flights, unless we have to.
