British Airways Comair
Tampered luggage

I was returning from Livingstone Airport to O R Tambo Airport on 02/09/2013 when I had a nasty experience where my luggage was tampered with - the zips of my new bag broken and the bag arrived open with underwear, clothing, and otherpersonal possessions all being displayed for all to see on the baggage carousel. Words could not describe how I felt - it was as if I was guilty of something that my luggage was being searched. I wouldnt want anyone to experience this humiliating incident. The BA guy was there and witnessed the incident and lodged a ticket on the computer and directed me to baggage queries to get a replacement bag. I arrived in CT and handed in my damaged bag to the BA counter and a few days later got a call stating that my bag was fixed. I sent an email to BA on the 05/09/2013 requesting an explanation as to why I was treated this way and to date I have not received a response. My question is are there others out there who get treated like this? If so - is this normal - doesnt the airline owe me an apology for the humiliation and damage or do I now just accept the fact that they have repaired my bag (which was new and was damaged by BA staff)???
