I reported my damaged luggage to baggage services at the airport and they directed me to a repair shop which Information told me does not exist! I called the Call Centre and they told me bring the suitcase back to the airport. I live in Pretoria and came back to South Africa to care for my ailing mother. There is no way I could make a special trip to Johannesburg airport to drop off the suitcase SAA broke and then to pick it up! If a passenger were to transit to Cape Town - would they have to bring the damaged luggage back to Johannesburg for repairs? Victoria at Call Centre was not very helpful - did not want to listen to my explanation, she just wanted to read her script and be done with it! For a big corporate entity like SAA - they sure have very bad customer service and service people!
