British Airways Comair

On the 3rd of November 2013 I flew from Durban to Port Elizabeth on a British Airways plane operated by Comair and booked through Kalula. In my booked in luggage I had packed a DSTV drifter which was wrapped in a towel and placed amongst my clothing. When I arrived in PE and unpacked I recovered the drifter box but to my disgust I found that the Drifter and charger had been removed from the box. It was clear that this was no random by someone rummaging through my luggage. The only way that anyone would have known it was there would have been from pictures shown on a x-ray unit. What I find disgusting is that it is obvious that this was perpetrated by some one who is responsible for ensuring passenger safety through security and instead of doing this they are using the equipment to identify opportunities to. On my call to King Shaka Airport I was put through to BA luggage services only to be told that they do not cover any items of value lost in this manner and take no responsibility. I was asked if I wanted to open a case file but the likely hood of any type of action seemed remote. Very disappointing act of and a disappointing response.
