Short and sweet. Checked in at 6:00pm for my 20:05pm flight from Cape Town to Lanseria. Boarding at gate C6. Went to Spur, smashed a cup of joe, good service and good coffee. Through security to gate C6, flight delayed! Made a friend, good oke. Sent to gate A11. Checked my ID and board plane!? Sit in seat 31D, guy comes up to me says Im in his seat. We laugh at the confusion and give each other a high five. Speak to the flight attendant. Checked in as Hendrik Vermeulen and not Brendan Vermeulen, laugh again and fist bump. Flight attendant says Im on the wrong flight, my flight left for Lanseria already this flight was on its way to O.R Tambo. Doors open and Im escorted off the plane like Al Capone..back through airport security to check in counters. No flight to Lanseria, only a 10:10pm flight to O.R Tambo. Got a bit frustrated and did a 10second moon walk in the foyer. Booked a seat for O.R Tambo (not where I needed to be!) Flight delayed again. Have a siesta on the comfy airport bench..board and fly 11:00pm, grumpy girlfriend picks me up at 1:15am. No hug no kiss..Fly Kulula from JHB to CT and back once a week, might reconsider!! Just Kidding, your rates are good! Venting!
