THREE AND A HALF HOUR FLIGHT DELAY!!!

Yesterday I arrived at King Shaka airport with my family for my flight back to Jhb which was booked 25 June 2012. The flight was supposed to be at 16h25. I was told Kulula had overbooked a previous flight and our flight was now carrying all those passengers and we could not get onto our plane. My daughter who had arrived earlier had already checked in and was booked on our original flight. We were then put on a BA flight 3 hrs 15 mins later which was unacceptable as we did not want our child flying alone, or waiting on the other end alone and we booked 16h25 because we did not want to arrive home after 10pm when we had work the next day! We had also booked a taxi back from the airport who could not pick us up later! We spoke to supervisors etc at the airport who could not change this situation as taking my daughter off that flight was not possible as luggage etc was on the plane and by this stage (after almost 45 mins of negotiation) the plane was too close to taking off. We were given vouchers as compensation towards future bookings and for Spur. The delayed flight was delayed another 20 min! I am most unhappy. What would consequences be if something happened to one of the flights?
