Flight number mix-up

I booked a return-flight on [URL Removed] from Lanseria Airport to Cape Town International for leaving on the 3 May 2013 at 17:10 on flight MN465, and for coming back on 12 May 2013 12:15 on flight MN494. When I arrived at the airport on the 3 May 2013 I was informed that I had missed my flight the previous day, 2 May 17:10 also with flight number MN465 and had to hastily buy another flight to get to Cape Town. I was also not informed at the Kulula ticket desk that I had forfeited my return flight by missing the first flight. Thus on my return journey I had to buy another flight back as well, at a preposterous price because I was leaving shortly before the flight. I find it highly suspicious that I was placed on the flight one day ahead of my planned journey with the same flight number. What I think happened was that the computer system made a mix-up because of the same flight number and had placed me on the wrong flight out. The whole saga cost me an additional R3395 on top of the almost R2000 I had already spent on the flights. I would like an explanation as to what happened and I want to be reimbursed for the extra flights that I had to buy.
